Thank you for your support of and interest in the Rhode Island Sting. The Sting was formed to provide an environment where your daughters can grow their love of the game, strengthen friendships and build confidence. We are extremely excited about the opportunity to work with female hockey players in our community. The organization is about more than just putting together teams. We look to make your daughters experience special.

It is important for these girls to see how hard work, hockey, and education are intertwined. We will share our youth, college, and Olympic experiences with our players so they can see first-hand how a dream can be achieved. We want to inspire them.  We will also hold and end of the year celebration pending State regulations.

The Process

The Sting Organization offers several teams at many levels.  Every player will be notified via email within 7 days of the last skate.  Please make sure we have the best contact information for you.   There will be a 24 hour period to hold your position.  This is a long process and we want to be as efficient as possible.  Please be prepared to either accept or decline a position with our organization when you are contacted.

A $1000 non-refundable deposit is required upon acceptance.  Payments can be made online or checks can be written to:  RI Sting, PO Box 6892, Warwick, RI 02887  We will also designate times and venues to collect payments by check.

The balance of tuition is due by August 1, 2021, paid to the RI Sting. All tryout fees, deposits and payments are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Additional Expenses and Information
We do encourage our teams to participate in tournaments.  Additional tournament fees outside of tournaments covered by the organization will equate to the tourney fee divided by the number of players attending.  Game shirt sizing and sales will happen in the spring for teams 8u-19u.
